From the ancient kilns of the Far East comes the Michael Wainwright USA Raku collection.  A subtle white crackle glaze combines with a thin band of 24k gold and a satin grey swatch to re-create a Raku look, but with the durability of stoneware.

Raku literally translates as "happiness in the accident." Michael Wainwright has developed his Raku collection by interpreting the "accidents" for a modern table.   Raku firing is one of the most natural techniques that one can encounter in pottery for spontaneous, one of a kind results.
